研究兴趣：1)病毒-宿主互作机制研究；2)免疫相关基因的鉴定及调控网络；3)新型病原体鉴定方法。

　　 1999年开始在中国科学院遗传与发育生物学研究所/北京基因组研究所攻读博士学位。期间作为交流博士生，在丹麦哥本哈根大学Panum医学院功能基因组中心从事人类疾病基因的定位克隆工作。2004年4月到2006年10月，在美国西北大学医学院从事博士后研究。 2006年10月-2010年10月，在美国加州大学河滨分校从事病毒和宿主相互作用的研究工作。2010年10月起任中国科学技术大学生命科学学院教授。到目前为止，共发表论文45篇，论文他引超2000次。
